Day To Day

Although not an easy two years and although mother was not very communicative I am sure the individual attention and cheerfulness of all those who helped her maintained the best possible quality of life.

Church Service
It is important to all at Tunbridge Wells Care Centre that the spiritual needs of our residents are met and we actively encourage visits from members of the clergy of all denominations.
Tunbridge Wells Care Centre works very closely with the surrounding community. Reverend Caroline Glass who presides over St Luke’s Church in Tunbridge Wells visits the Home every two weeks to conduct a service based on the ‘Communion’ service.
The service is conducted in the home’s own multi-faith Chapel, St Luke’s, which was consecrated on 11th November 2010 at eleven o’clock after which residents could observe the two minute silence once the blessing had taken place. It was a very poignant moment for all who attended.
The Chapel is open all day every day for those people who wish to be alone with their own thoughts.
As part of the ongoing activities programme, residents are encouraged to make their own ‘stained glass windows’ with tissue paper, which means the windows change on a regular basis displaying themes that have included flowers, the seasons and exerts from favourite poetry.
