Dick Whittington production wows!

The residents at Tunbridge Wells Care Centre, a nursing home providing elderly care, had the chance to play their own part in our pantomime at the end of 2011.

Dick Whittington and his Cat visited us, giving some of our residents the chance to play an active role in the show itself. The main characters were all played by residents, family members and staff and they all threw themselves into their respective roles wonderfully, singing and dancing and of course booing and cheering! With costumes and songs aplenty, the Fairy Godmother guided everyone through the story of the man who travelled the world before becoming Lord Mayor of London.

Everyone has the opportunity to take part voluntarily in all the activities.

We’re particularly excited about re-establishing our links with the local community projects that were set up in 2011 and with the planned Cognitive Stimulation Therapy sessions which will take place twice a week in this Kent care home.
